Cosmos Research Center

We had a great Star Party June 16, 2007. 19 scientists and 20 parents showed up for a swim party and a BBQ, and a number of scientists got the official Cosmos Research Center insignia ironed onto their lab coats or T-shirts. Then, we had some presentations by science fiction writer David Brin, and Scientists Ben, Lincoln, and Max. Scientist Ella took the group on a tour of a scale model of the solar system, and then we looked at Venus, Saturn, and Jupiter through a telescope. PapaTom also pointed out the Big Dipper with a green laser pointer. Here are some more photos.
